Daddy’s Thoughts

As I work in the medical world, I’m find more and more of a yearning to become a better writter. I expect the following from my son one day down the road.
Everybody understands that I’m a stickler for good spelling. So when a fellow worker e-mailed technical documents asking me to “decifer” them, I had to correct the young man.
“Decipher is spelled with a ph, and not an f”, I wrote in my reply. “In case you have forgotten, spell check comes free with your Microsoft Word program.”
A minute later he followed with his reply: “Must be dephective.”
