What Is The Youngest Age to Father a Child?
There are a lot of wacky stories pertaining to fatherhood out there. In particular, with mothers and fathers seeming to get younger and younger (although most are opting to wait, nowadays), many people want to know, “what is the youngest age to father a child?” This question has led to a lot of speculation and rumors, with one verifiable answer to go on so far.

While there are rumors of fathers at ages of 8 or 9 years old, the youngest father proven on record was 12-year old Sean Stewart of England. Stewart was only 11 years old when he fathered the child with his next-door neighbor, Emma Webster. Webster, who was 16 when the child was born, gave birth to a healthy boy that they named Ben. Although Stewart was quite happy with the proceedings, he recognized as well that he wouldn’t want his son to be a 12-year old father one day.
Of course, boys could be fathers even earlier than that. Since boys are born being able to produce sperm, it’s just a matter of when they reach puberty, really. Luckily, cases like that of Sean Stewart are few and far between! We all know we don’t need any pre-teen dads running around! Being a father is a difficult job, after all!
