The localized adjustment features are one of the most popular new items for Lightroom 2 raw workflow. As usual, the work is not destructive and not permanent until you export to a file or other software such as Adobe Photoshop. Also, the adjustments may be copied from one image to the next just like all of the other settings.
The seven effects that may be chosen with the adjustment brush are powerful.
- Color
- Sharpness
- Saturation
- Clarity
- Contrast
- Brightness
- Exposure
Shortcuts available are as follows.
- K key: open the adjustment brush.
- [ or ] keys: shrink or grow the brush size, respectively.
- SHIFT + [ keys: make the brush edge harder.
- SHIFT + ] keys: make the brush edge softer.
- H key: hide the brush strokes.
- O key: turn the mask on & off.
- SHIFT + O keys: change the mask colors.

Another great video from you. Thank’s a lot. It really shows how to use the new adjustment brush. I think this is probably the coolest of all new features of LR2.
